Ash has been part of the Dannevirke clinic since 2017. Growing up in Taranaki, he has an interest in production animal work, particularly dairy farming. Away from work, he enjoys accessing the great tramping routes in the Tararua region.

Hannah joined the Dannevirke team in January 2018 and is enjoying being part of a fast-growing practice that offers a varied caseload of both production and companion work in a part of the country that can only be described as a gateway to the great outdoors which feeds in nicely to her other passion of multi-sports and outdoor pursuits.

Mary’s wealth of knowledge and commitment to clients makes her an integral part of not just the Tararua Vet team but also yours on the farm. However, when she’s not immersing herself in the challenge of the day out in the field or back here in the clinic, she can be found rearing calves on her home block or tramping the vast scopes of whatever mountain she’s decided to concur.




Suzie WestonSuzie Weston BVSc
Companion Animal Veterinarian

Suzie is a long-standing member of the Dannevirke clinic and heads the companion animal department, her versatility also means she can be found out on farm calving cows and treating other emergencies as they arise. You can expect continuity of care from Suzie along with genuine compassion and knowledge in her field. Suzie is extremely passionate about her work and is known for going above and beyond for your furry friends.




Joao DibJoao Dib 
Production Animal Veterinarian

Joao has worked for us for over 14 years, firstly at Totally Vets Feilding then Tararua Vets Dannevirke until going to work in Hastings for the last few years. He returned to our Dannevirke clinic in 2020. Away from clinic, he enjoys his block of land in Hastings, loves a bit of a paddle with his Waka Ama Hastings friends and also goes for a little hunt from time to time.




Jessie PopeJessie Pope
Veterinary Nurse

Jessie joined us at the beginning of 2018 and very quickly became an essential part of the team, she has a keen interest in the surgical and anaesthetic side of her work but also enjoys the variety that comes with working in a rural-based vet clinic. Jessie runs our puppy pre-school classes; her knowledge and bubbly personality help reassure any new puppy owner about what to expect of their new family member and best of all how to deal with it. Jessie has been around animals her whole life and hails from a sheep and beef farm in the Waikato making her comfortable with all animals small and large.




Madison DainesMadison Daines
Veterinary Nurse

Madi, with her bubbly personality and a very caring nature towards all your small animal pets, is a great asset to our team. Madi also has a passion for large animals and she swaps her scrubs for overalls to assist our vets with calf disbudding and or any other tech jobs. When not in clinic, you can find Madi out on the farm or at the beach with a wetsuit on, enjoying the great outdoors.
