Fishing competition results 2019

Bright and early in the morning of Saturday 30th March, boats were in the water at Whanganui eager to get out to the fish. The conditions were as close to perfect as you could get.

There were a lot of familiar faces as well as lots of first-time entrants. There were many texts throughout the day from anglers with updates on all the fish they were catching.

We started weighing fish from 1pm and were impressed with the variety over the scales and the stories being told. Big thanks to Darryl and the chaps from the Whanganui Fishing Club for helping with weigh-in and the BBQ and helping the day run smoothly.

Our sponsors were very generous once again and without them we would not be able to hold such a successful event. A special mention to Rangitikei Marine and Honda for supplying the Truth Mats for the ‘catch and release’ snapper category. Also thanks to LA Landscapes and GJH Fibreglass for their contributions to the Average Snapper class.
